CityVille Adds 20 New Levels To Make 100 Million Players Happy

Zynga’s CityVille hit 100 million monthly players – making it the largest Facebook application ever – just a little over a month after launching in December 2010.

We’ve noted that Facebook execs (including Mark Zuckerberg), Google execs and others are playing, and playing long enough that it doesn’t just look like they’re sniffing around. Kleiner Perkins partner and former Chief Creative Officer of Electronic Arts Bing Gordon maxed out at level 60 early on.

Download Angry Birds for Free on Windows

The hit mobile game, Angry Birds, which was recently announced for desktop computers, will be available for free for a limited period. The game can be downloaded on Intel’s AppUp store from February 2 to March 31, free of cost. All you have to do is download the AppUp application from Intel’s website and create a new account to download the game. The offer is only valid for the first 15,000 people who download it (one account is counted as one person) so make sure you are there on time or before you know it, it will all be over.

iPad 2 Will Be Thinner and Anti-Reflective, Not Retina Display?

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities reports that the iPad 2 will gain a thinner, anti-reflective display rather than a higher resolution one, according to AppleInsider.

“The improvement of iPad 2 display,” the report notes, “focuses on thickness and anti-reflection, not resolution. iPad 2 display module is 30~35% thinner than iPad 1 and it’s helpful for better form factor.
