Run Android apps on your Windows PC – BlueStacks

BlueStacks a small company backed by Ignition Ventures, Radar Partners, Helion Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Andreessen Horowitz recently scored a $7.6 million Series A financing round from these companies based on its new software, which ports Android applications over to any x86 device running Windows.

According to BlueStacks

This softwatre is meant to help people access both the work and personal applications and/or data that’s stuck on their smartphones from their PC. The software supports mouse and keyboard input, as well as multi-touch input. BlueStacks said it also thinks the software will help breathe new life into the PC market because it gives “PC manufacturers the chance to take advantage of the growing consumer demand for Android-based mobile enterprise applications

Download Angry Birds for Free on Windows

The hit mobile game, Angry Birds, which was recently announced for desktop computers, will be available for free for a limited period. The game can be downloaded on Intel’s AppUp store from February 2 to March 31, free of cost. All you have to do is download the AppUp application from Intel’s website and create a new account to download the game. The offer is only valid for the first 15,000 people who download it (one account is counted as one person) so make sure you are there on time or before you know it, it will all be over.

ClearLock Locks Your Windows Desktop without hiding you’r window

In windows -The windows key +L shortcut is locking your machine in a shortcut just like in a short time,but if you want to lock it while keeping an eye on your desktop, ClearLock will lock your desktop with a transparent layer so you can see what’s going on.

Whether you’ve got rambunctious kids, immature friends or household pets that like to use your keyboard as a bed, locking your computer is always a good idea. Unfortunately, Windows’ built-in locking method prevents you from seeing your desktop, meaning you can’t keep an eye on your BitTorrent downloads, watch your movie, or enjoy the iTunes visualizer when your computer’s locked. ClearLock fixes that by locking your computer transparently, so you can see your desktop, but not click on anything until you enter your password.

Jailbreak Tool for Windows 7 Phone

It seems that every other device is now getting a jailbreak tool – the latest one to get the treatment is the Windows Phone 7. The tool is called ChevronWP7 and allows you to develop and install a Windows Phone 7 application on any phone. It also allows the user to bypass Microsoft’s approval process.
